Drawn as a tribute to my late Nan. Drawing was a huge comfort around the time we lost her so it seemed fitting to create something that would always be connected to her. She often bought me birthday cards with these birds on so they always remind me of her & the Rose is integrated into the bird's back as the flower shares her name.

The artwork consists of a blend of dot work and crosshatching with colourful textures, which I created using brusho (a fun-to-work-with powdered watercolour ink) and a spray bottle. These were then all put together in photoshop.
