Charlie & the Chocolate Factory

Character Posters

This was a fun project inspired by Trainspotting’s ad campaign, where each character featured on their own poster and were individually introduced to the audience. The challenge was to take a well known book and present the characters in a similar way, as if being revealed for the first time. Charlie & the Chocolate Factory’s supporting characters each had particular preferences or traits that allowed for a creative interpretation. The pictures I chose, while not completely accurate to the descriptions in the book, visually represented those defining traits.

Each poster includes the character’s full name, their golden ticket number, noted ‘weaknesses,’ and a subtle warning or clue to how each of them leave the factory tour. My aim was to strike a balance between sparking interest in the story for new readers without giving away too much plot detail.
